It's true that a future government could try to grab CPP assets. However, the federal government could just print money, so it would have to be a government so desperate to be seen to be "balancing the budget" that they'd be willing to raid CPP to do it. Hopefully, that won't happen.Michael Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10362529610470788243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5465015914589377788.post-83226067794088567192022-10-07T20:20:24.726-04:002022-10-07T20:20:24.726-04:00Hi Farly,

Funds in CPP are supposed to be independent of government revenues and assets, however, the government includes CPP funds as an asset when calculating the debt to GDP ratio. That could imply that they could tap into CPP funds to service debt. Hopefully that will never occur.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14500261278529012152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5465015914589377788.post-59073059403511647732022-10-07T10:53:24.089-04:002022-10-07T10:53:24.089-04:00I have a debit card with a Visa logo on it, I wond...I have a debit card with a Visa logo on it, I wonder if that is considered a credit card in regard to user fees.Farlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02600069967893655199noreply@blogger.com
